“Upon moving to the Port Charlotte, Florida area in 2009, I sought a reputable veterinary clinic for my three dogs – two Golden Retrievers, Shelby and Maggie, and my miniature dachshund, Abby. Lucky me – I was referred to Peace River Veterinary Clinic in Punta Gorda! Since then I have taken my dogs to that clinic for their annual tests, shots, flea and heartworm medications and non-emergency and emergency treatments when the need arose. It does not matter if I don’t see the same doctor at a visit as they all have made it important to know each and every one of my dogs and greets each of them with tender care and a friendly greeting for me. Most visits are just routine in nature for my dogs and the time with the doctors is always pleasant. Even at the time when the situation dictated a serious visit, without hesitation, my pet, as well as my comfort was at the top of their agenda. Their goal, first and foremost, is the tender care and specific treatment for my pets. On two incidents, I have had to euthanize my Golden Retrievers and as difficult a time as that was for me, their priority was the care of my pet’s final journey and my comfort with having to make that difficult decision. They are very genuine, sincere and most important, caring. From the moment you walk into their clinic, you are greeted by their friendly staff who provide you with a special hello and genuine interest in letting you know that your concerns for your pet matter starting with them. I count myself lucky to be associated with Peace River Veterinary Clinic and look forward to a long relationship for my pets and without hesitation will always highly recommend them to my family, friends, and neighbors looking for that special veterinary care for their animals.”

“I moved to Punta Gorda from Port Charlotte so I needed a Vet for my two Yorkies, Peace River Veterinary Clinic was recommended by friends so I took my boys there a couple of weeks ago for their yearly shots. It went very well. I called this morning to get my youngest in for a cortisone shot, he has allergies, they found a spot for us in the afternoon. We saw Dr. Eleni Marx both times, what a sweet and caring Veterinarian!! Super happy we found them, and they’re close to home!! I don’t know all of the staff and techs yet but everyone there is friendly and kind and we went away very happy and satisfied.”

“Being out of town, we needed a vet when our cat got sick. After reviewing several area vet’s offices online, we decided on the Peace River Vet Clinic. We called in the morning and they were able to get us in for an afternoon visit. The staff was great and I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Julie Reece. Some vet offices want to run a gauntlet of tests; the PRVC performed only what was necessary to diagnose the cat. After the exam, she prescribed some meds for the cat. I consider the bill for the exam and meds to be extremely reasonable. And best of all, one week later our cat has recovered and is doing much better!”

 “Dr. Mark DeGrove has been my veterinarian for 28 years. I have had dogs all my life. You will not find a more knowledgeable, compassionate, and fair veterinarian. He does everything from routine care, treating illnesses, orthopedics, dermatologic, gastrointestinal, neurological, and dentistry. Several years ago my Miniature Schnauzer was suddenly failing and about to die. I brought him to Dr. DeGrove, who diagnosed him with heart failure and treated him aggressively with I.V. fluids and medications.
